4 YEARS DIPLOMA COURSES
After completing Secondary School Certificate (SSC) a student can pursue his or her educational carrier for obtaining “Diploma-in-Engineering” degree.
BIST started offering Diploma-in-Engineering courses from July, 2022 in the following technologies:
Computer Technology
Diploma In Computer Engineering is a 4-year long program consisting of 8 semesters (1 Semester = 6 months). The final and the midterm exams of each semester are conducted under the supervision of the Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB).
Electrical Technology
Diploma in Electrical Engineering is a 4-year long program consisting of 8 semesters (1 Semester = 6 months). The final and the midterm exams of each semester is conducted under the supervision of the Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB).
Civil Engineering
Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology is a 4-year long program consisting of 8 semesters (1 Semester = 6 months). The final and the midterm exams of each semester are conducted under the supervision of the Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB).
SHORTCOURSES
Basic Trade Course (3-6 Month Short Course)
Basic Trade Courses are open to all and below S.S.C. group usually take up these courses. After successful completion of this course one may acquire required skills for local and overseas jobs. Also, one may become self employed/entrepreneur.Currently BIST is conducting basic trade course in the following trades:

Welding.
Welding is a fabrication process that joins materials, usually metals or thermoplastics, Msquare iT by using high heat to melt the parts together and allowing them to cool, causing fusion.
6 months 24 Weeks 1 Certificates
Welding is distinct from lower temperature techniques such as brazing and soldering, which do not melt the base metal. -

Plumbing and Pipe Fitting.
Plumbing is any system that conveys fluids for a wide range of applications.
48 Hours 6 Weeks 1 Certificate
Plumbing uses pipes, valves, plumbing fixtures, tanks, and other apparatuses to convey fluids. -

Electrical House wiring
Electrical house wiring connects wires from the main electricity distribution board to the electrical devices in the house, such as sockets, fans, and lights.
28 Hours 4 Weeks 1 Certificate
It includes electrical cables and other accessories that distribute a continuous power supply to various electrical appliances in the house. -

Refrigeration and Air-conditioning
Refrigeration is the process of removal of unwanted heat from a selected object, substance, or space and its transfer to another object, substance, or space.
48 Hours 4 Weeks 1 Certificates
Naturally, thermal energy is seen flowing from a hotter place to a colder place. An air conditioning process has an indoor and outdoor unit connected with a pipe.
